My painting efforts now are in creating a new body of work with abstract paintings that take a journey into the unknown where color, brushwork, texture and composition intersect to evoke emotions and spark imagination.

Through abstract painting, I am seeking to capture the essence of human feelings and experiences through the use of expressive brushstrokes, vibrant colors and to create works that invite the viewer to explore their own emotional insight.

These abstract pieces that are both spontaneous and deliberate, balancing intuitive and careful considerations that build the painting through an evolutionary journey of techniques and colors until they reach a destination where the viewer brings their own experiences and interpretations to decipher what they see in each painting.

Using a varying palette of colors with each painting, each one chosen to evoke a specific mood or feeling, from soft pastel blues to bold vibrant neons. Where a dynamic interplay of brushstrokes and texture help build upon the emotional atmosphere created within each painting, my goal is not to recreate a reality but to create a mood, open to differing interpretations, based on where each viewer comes from to explore the piece.

My goal is to inspire a sense of wonder with the viewer and to spark their imagination to view the piece with creativity where the possibilities of what are seen can be endless. I’m creating paintings with the intention to move the viewer with color, touch them with texture and resonates with their emotions.
